New England Patriots QB Tom Brady Named Player of the Month

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J., Nov. 3, 2016 — Pro Football Legends, the commercial marketing arm of the NFL Alumni Association, announced Tuesday that Tom Brady has been voted Player of the Month for October.

Upon his return from suspension, Brady led New England to a 4-0 record in the month of October.

In his first game back, he completed 28 of 40 attempts for 406 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead the Patriots to a 33-13 victory over the Browns. The following match, he posted 17 of 35 for 376 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win against the Bengals, making it his second consecutive week to pass for over 350 yards and three passing touchdowns.

He led the Patriots to a 27-16 victory over the Steelers as he recorded 222 yards and two touchdowns in Week 7.
Brady capped off his successful October with a win against the Bills as he completed 22 of 33 attempts for 315 yards and a season high four touchdowns.

He continues to make strides as he has been the most efficient quarterback in the league this month. Throughout the course of four games played, he has completed 98 of 134 passes with a 133.9% passer rating, posting 1,319 yards, 12 touchdowns and zero interceptions.
Other nominees included in October’s ballot were Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliot (2nd), Falcons WR Julio Jones (3rd), Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (4th), with Bills LB Lorenzo Alexander and Seahawks DE Cliff Avril tying for fifth.
